Karuna Foundation Nepal had been implementing Scaling Up Max WASH in Nepal-Integrated WASH, Health, Education and Livelihood Intervention Project in Duhabi 1-6 under financial and technical assistance of Max Foundation and FEMI Foundation, the Netherlands. The project commenced from July 2017 and completed its duration on September, 2020. Despite disruption owing to COVID-19 pandemic most of the indicators had satisfactory progress.
Key project achievement under the project in partnership with Duhabi Municipality during the last three are summarized as follows:
A formal handover program was organized with Duhabi Municipality on 15 October, 2020. The handover program was conducted followed with a presentation on progress, challenges and remaining work. Duhabi Municipality has expressed its commitment to complete remaining work, ensure functionality and sustainability of the installed hardware under the project and committed NPR 55,00,000 (Five Million and Five Hundred Thousand only). We feel grateful for the partnership and wish that the municipality will turn into a model Municipality with total sanitation, holistic development and citizen friendly services and facilities.
