Hearing Care Center

Karuna Nepal and Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) – Damak Children’s Hospital, with support from Kind en Oor (Baccha ra Kaan) and the Wilde Ganzen Foundation (Netherlands), have partnered to establish a hearing center aimed at preventing hearing-related disabilities in Koshi Province, Nepal. The initiative focuses on strengthening hearing care services by setting up a comprehensive Hearing Care Center at KIOCH Damak Children’s Hospital in Jhapa district, which will provide audiology services and serve as a referral hub.

Additionally, outreach programs, including school health screenings and disability assessment camps, will facilitate early identification of hearing issues. The project primarily benefits children and the general population across Koshi Province, enhancing access to essential hearing care.
