BISWAS

BISWAS (Building Trust and Confidence among Neglected Tropical Diseases Affected and Vulnerable Population) Project. This project is being implemented in 44 rural/municipalities Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari. Out of them, the project activities are tailored for community level in 25 municipalities, (mostly those bordering India) i.e 10 rural/municipalities of Jhapa, 7 of Morang and 8 of Sunsari district with poor health indicators and high burden of NTDs.

In the remaining 19 municipalities, BISWAS activities are confined to municipal and health facilities level. However, for cross-cutting issues like Disability Inclusive Development (DID) Karuna Foundation Nepal is strategic partner with a target to reach 3700 Person with Disabilities within the full duration of the project.
