Based in Kathmandu, Ms. Gautam looks after overall Human Resource aspect of the organization. In her capacity, she oversees the recruitment and staffing, talent management, facilitating performance analysis, rewarding, employee welfare and engagement and other HR roles that deems necessary.
Prior to joining KFN, Ms. Gautam was associated with Action Against Hunger (ACF) where she worked in similar roles and responsibilities. Ms. Gautam has completed her Undergrad in Management from Ace Institute of Management affiliated to Pokhara University. Currently she is pursuing Masters in Business Administration specialized in Human Resource Management. Beside her professional interests she loves exploring new places and cuisines.
He has a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem-solving and a drive to see things through completion. He is an energetic, ambitious person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task that he undertakes or situations that he is presented with. He has completed Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, with more than seven years of experience in IT related Project Management, he is excellent in working with others to achieve a certain objective on time and with excellence. Based in Kathmandu, Mr. Sailendra Deuja looks after overall Information Technology, assist in the use of technology, stands as a resource person for the implementation of the “Management Information System“

Based in Kathmandu, Prabina leads the communication and advocacy department. She is responsible for preparing communication and behavioral change materials for further lobby and advocacy. Prior to joining Karuna, she was associated with UEMS Nepal which works in WASH sector. She has completed her Master’s degree from Tribhuwan University. Her interest is to explore new places and opportunities.

Shobha Maya B.K.
Based in Kathmandu, Shobha Maya B.K is responsible to oversee all administrative related works including front desk, vehicle arrangements, booking air tickets, handling petty cash and other. Prior to joining Karuna, she was associated with Worec Nepal and EFS-Helvetas where she was responsible for managing administrative tasks. Since long she has been advocating for ensuring the rights of persons with disability especially women. She has a keen desire to work in the disability sector. Besides her professional life, you can find her jolly, traveling new places and exploring innovative things.
Based in central office, Kathmandu, Binita Luitel is responsible to explore and ensure suitable treatment options at central or regional level for referred patient, document treatment procedure and prepare a profile who receive treatment. She is responsible to ensure programmatic compliance of the organization and programs to regulatory authorities such as Social Welfare Council. She supports in promoting of role models and ensures visibility along with correct use of visibility materials.She has completed Bachelor’s degree in Mass communication and Journalism and Sociology, recently she is doing her Master’s degree in Sociology. She is also a part of the Young Women Leadership summit in Nepal that oversees leadership through the lens of gender, sexuality and intersectionality.
Based in Central, Heena arranges all administrative related works. She oversees logistics management, communication/ correspondence, recording and documentation of administrative works. She also acts as a focal person of Karuna Orthopedics shoes and Koseli ghar.

Officer-Monitoring and Evaluation
Anita Khebang is responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of the overall Monitoring and Evaluation framework of the organization’s program and projects and providing strategic direction for their implementation. She joined the organization in 2016 and worked in the capacity of Associate Officer-M&E at the Ilam Field Office for two years and has also served briefly as Officer-Communication and Documentation at the Central Office, Kathmandu. Anita has a degree in Public Health from Nobel College, Kathmandu and is passionate about reducing social inequalities through improved access to health. She enjoys exploring new places and spends her free time reading novels and non-fiction.
Based in Central Office Kathmandu, Nava Raj Gautam leads WASH and Holistic Development Project in Duhabi 1-6 Sunsari targeting Dalit Communities. He is responsible to design strategic intervention for the project, ensure quality, monitor the project results and provide technical support for the effective management of the project. Prior to joining Karuna Foundation Nepal, he supported local authority in Zambia for mobilizing external and internal resources to address the civil, political and developmental needs of the local government. He has several years of experience of working in child rights, women rights, inclusion and community development. After serving academic field for a decade, he chose development sector with a mission dare to hear:to better serve the need of most disadvantaged community. He has diverse academic background in Education, Mathematics, English and Development Studies stream. Outside Karuna, you can find him visiting religious, historical and natural importance places.

Ram Krishna Thapa
As a Senior Manager for Program, Ram contributes to the design, strategic planning and implementation of program at Karuna Foundation Nepal. The youngest member to the Senior Management Team, Ram brings in a strong foundation in monitoring, evaluation and research. Ram worked with Karuna in the capacity of Senior Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation before moving to the program. Prior to joining Karuna in 2015, Ram worked with Care International, Nepal and EQUIP Liberia, West Africa for different institutional donors like USAID, ECHO, Fin Church Aid, among others. Ram received his Master’s Degree in Public Health from Institute of Medicine. Outside of work, Ram can be found at eateries, movie theaters or exploring new places.

Bijaya Maharjan is an Assistant- Monitoring and Evaluation at Karuna Foundation Nepal, based in Kathmandu. Currently she is assisting the Monitoring & Evaluation department. She carries out Library Management and documentation related works. Prior karuna she was associated with Looniva child concern group as an intern. She pursued her BSc in Physics from Trichandra College and is studying Master’s in Rural Development from Tribhuwan University.

Based in Kathmandu, Sheela Gyanwali leads the Training department as well as Training and Resource Center Unit in Karuna Foundation Nepal. She is sole responsible for overall community and district level trainings and oversees the development of the manual, curriculum, IEC/BCC materials in the coordination with NHEICC and NHTC. Prior to joining Karuna, Sheela was associated with Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Center Nepal where she works as a Research Officer. Ms. Sheela Gyanwali had completed a Master’s in Public Health with major in Reproductive and Child Health from the American University of Bangladesh, Dhaka.

Dinesh Dhakal oversees the overall finance and admin department of Karuna Foundation Nepal. He is responsible for financial and administrative management, financial planning, reporting, monitoring, and evaluations. He also guides the KFN’s staff with his sound administrative knowledge and provides strategic direction to all central and field level admin and finance staff. While being associated with several organizations like Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Water Aid Nepal , WWF Nepal, he has diverse capabilities to develop a financial management system and is also familiar with the government and development organizations system. He is a University graduate and has more than 15 years of experience in the development field.

Santosh Ghimire leads the training, leadership and development facet in Karuna Foundation. Through his aptitude, he manages overall planning, coordination, communication and development of training curriculum, guidelines, manuals along with capacity building/ enhancement of all staff.
Mr. Ghimire has 14 years’ experience in the development sector. He possess an excellent experience in training, integrated health and nutrition sector with nearly 4 years’ experience in USAID funded Suaahara program alone. With Nutrition and Socio-behavior Change Communication as the major focus in his prior experience, Mr. Ghimire worked closely with different levels of government/ non-governmental stakeholders and is well acquainted with Far-western and Eastern Nepal. Prior to Suaahara, he was engaged in NLF for Leprosy Elimination and Rehabilitation program. He is a public health graduate with MPH (Health Management) from SRM University, Chennai and BPH from Purbanchal University. Apart from this professional front, he can be found cooking. He is an avid traveler and aims to wander around the corners and ends of the world someday to quench his thirst for adventure.

Kabindra Regmi is a young public health professional. He leads the prevention of disability (strengthening maternal and child health) component of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (DPRP) program. In his capacity, he plans, coordinates and provides technical support to health care workers and local government of province 1 Nepal to implement preconception folic acid supplementation to prevent birth defects, mHealth program designed to track pregnancies and disability screening among children under ten years of age.
Based in province office Itahari, Kundan Chaudhary is responsible for all administrative related works of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. He oversees the overall performance of procurement and logistic, checks compliance, support through sound administrative management. Before joining Karuna, Chaudhary was associated with suppliers’ parties & institutions in Eastern Nepal. His academic background is +2 in management and Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Social Science from Sunsari Multiple Campus. Besides professional life, he enjoys exploring new places and adventurous journeys. He is proficient in speaking Japanese and Korean language as well.
Based in Itahari, Ishwor Timilsina leads CBR and manage implementation of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. In short, he is Rehabilitation expert who closely supervises, monitor CBR officer and CBRF. In addition developing plans and programs for maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/ intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation for the People with Disabilities. Prior to joining Karuna, Ishwor was working as Departmental Head at various Hospitals, Rehabilitation centers and runs his own clinic. Besides that, he was teaching in paramedical colleges and also Board member of NEPTA (Nepal Physiotherapy Association). Mr. Timilsina completed a MSc. in Rehabilitation science with scholarship under SAARC from the BHPI, Savar, Bangladesh and Bachelor of Physiotherapy from HNBG University, Dehradun, India. Apart from Karuna, he is interested in free writings, sports, travelling and making new friends.

Sushma Kumari Shrestha, based in Itahari oversees the overall administrative and finance department of Karuna. While worked with various organizations in development sector, she has enriched her knowledge on broad spectrum. She believes working with various organizations and her sound knowledge on accounting principles, well managed personality had pushed her career to a height. You can find her a self-motivated and a result oriented person. Outside of Karuna, she enjoys exploring new places, meeting people and enjoy reading books.

Based in Itahari, Majebul Alam leads the monitoring and evaluation of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. In his capacity, he oversees the overall performance of the program, check the compliance and provides strategic directions to the thematic managers and the management team. Prior to joining Karuna, Majebul was associated with Ipas Nepal where he worked closely with various public health institutions in far western Nepal to implement family planning program. Mr. Alam completed a Master’s in Public Health with major in Health Management from the SRM University of Chennai, Tamil Nadu India and Bachelor of Public Health from Purbanchal University. Chhatra Bahadur Khatri
Chhatra Bahadur Khatri, Manager-Livelihood leads the livelihood program of Karuna. Based in Sunsari, he develops policies and strategies for effective implementation of livelihood program, provides technical guidance to the provincial team and coordinates with local and provincial government for implementation of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. While worked in various organizations for more than 10 years, he has varied experience in livelihood sector. Chhatra holds Master’s degree in Business Administration from Tribhuwan University, Nepal. Outside of Karuna, Mr. Khatri loves exploring new places and new network.
Kamal Koirala, is a development workerby profession and a human rights defender by passion. He has had his hands in various areas of peace and development and have been working for the human rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups since last ten years.
Mr. Koirala, have an experience of working for the community people through different nongovernmental organizations; i.e. Women Rehabilitation Center, Common Platform for Common Goal and the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office, Nepal. He completed Master’s in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies.
Mr. Koirala manages the team to implement Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program in Province 1 and is based in Province Office, Itahari.
Laxman Gajurel, is a young energetic Physiotherapist working as CBR officer in Karuna foundation Nepal based in Illam since June 2019.He had passed bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore, India in 2016. Previously, he had worked in various health care organizations and clinics and hospitals in Nepal as well as in India. He is always dedicated in bringing changes in the life of persons with disabilities through community based approach.
SimaKhadgihas been working as support staff in Ilam district since the beginning of Inspire2Care program i.e 2015. She has completed her school level from Ilam district. She also supports the admin work of Ilam district.

Based in Illam, Bimal Kumar Dahal works as an Assistant officer-Program. He oversees the program planning, implementation, monitoring of program activities in Mai Municipality, Illam. Before joining Karuna Foundation Nepal, he was associated with the program of Local Governance Accountability Facility, Community Medication and UNICEF project. Sabita Shahi Thakuri, Associate Officer- Monitoring and Evaluation leads the monitoring and evaluation department of Illam. She oversees the overall performance of program providing support to the thematic departments. She has completed Bachelor in Public health from Pokhara University. Before joining Karuna, Sabita had worked in IMAM program funded by UNICEF as a Nutrition Officer in Bajhang district. Now, she has been working in Monitoring and evaluation department of Ilam and she also leads the Cervical Cancer Screening and Prevention Program in Ilam district.
Based in Illam, Chhabi Shrestha manages all the program activities of Inspire to Care program. He oversees program planning, implementation, provides guidance and monitoring of the program. Prior to joining Karuna, Mr. Shrestha was associated with Local Government and Community Development Program (LGCDP) LGAF unit as a program coordinator in Illam district. He has completed Master’s degree in Education from Tribhuwan University and Bachelor’s degree in Law.

She has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Jhapa.

Based on Illam, Sandesh leads the monitoring and evaluation department. He oversees overall performance of program and provides feedback to the thematic managers and team. He is passionate regarding his work which led him to enhance his capacity. He perused his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from CIST College. Before Karuna, he was associated in Integrated Management and Acute Malnutrition project of Unicef in Bajhang district. Beside this, you can see him exploring new places.
Based in Illam, Pradip Adhikari, works as a Senior Officer- Program. In his capacity, he oversees planning, coordination, facilitation and conduction of trainings, awareness raising sessions and reporting. Before Karuna, Mr. Adhikari was engaged with Human Rights Network and Peace Action Group (PAG), Nepal as Regional Program Coordinator and also engrossed himself in teaching as a lecturer in Modern Campus, Illam.
Talking about his academic background, he has completed Master’s degree in English and Bachelor’s degree in Law and Education. Outside of Karuna, he loves adventurous journey, social work and enjoys studying.

Based in Ilam, Ashok is responsible to look after financial matters of Ilam District. Prior to joining Karuna, he worked as an accountant cum Field Coordinator in AGC Nepal for 1 year. Thereafter he was involved in teaching Accountancy for 8 years. He has completed a Master’s Degree in Business Studies. Besides Karuna, he enjoys traveling, listening to music and social work.
Ajit Yonjan is an inspiring, effective leader with dynamic personality and excellent communication skills. Based in Illam, Mr Yonjan leads the whole program of Illam and a mentor the team members of Karuna Foundation Nepal, Illam. He completed his Master’s degree in Public Administration and Bachelor’s degree in Law (BL) and had served the government as Child Right Officer for 3 years and was also a Lecturer in Shree Ratna Multiple Campus-Ilam for 2 years. Besides this he a good team leader and have strong management skills along with sound thematic knowledge of KFN’s program.

Based at Biratnagar, Payal Agrawal works at Karuna Foundation Nepal as a CBR officer with clinical experience of 8 yrs. She is responsible to oversee disability prevention and rehabilitation program where her main roles include planning, implementation, monitoring and guide CBRF and capacitate them for the implementation of DPRP. Prior joining Karuna, Payal was associated with Neuro hospital as a clinical physiotherapist and also run her private physio care clinic. She has also conducted various talk shows at community regarding fitness and women health. Ms. Agrawal completed her undergrad from Santosh Medical College (Meerut University) in 2012.
Based in Biratnagar, Umesh Kunwar leads the Community Based Rehabilitation sector of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. In his capacity, he provides physiotherapy treatment, which reduces the occurrence of disability and helps to uplift the quality of life of people living with disabilities. Prior to joining Karuna, Umesh was associated with Civil Service Hospital, where he provided physiotherapy treatment to a variety of cases. Mr. Umesh completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Kathmandu University School Of Medical Sciences. Rajib Kumar Chaudhary
Rajib Kumar Chaudhary, a program officer at Karuna Foundation Nepal based in Morang is responsible to carry out all the program activities of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. His main responsibility includes program planning, implementation, tracking, monitoring and evaluation. His former experiences in project planning, implementation, and management as a Cluster coordinator, Quality improvement Officer in various organizations has provided him a wider experiences on programs and its implementation. His major areas of proficiency includes Reproductive health and women rights, ENA/EHA,Maternal and child health, Family planning and Nutrition, GESI, WASH, TB and HIV/AIDS etc. He has pursued his Masters degree in Public Health.

Based in Morang/Sunsari, Manoj Chaudhary leads the administration and finance department of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. In his capacity, he oversees the overall performance of the administration and finance, check the compliance, follow up the organization policy procedure, logistics arrangements in the field offices and support to the field offices. Prior to joining Karuna foundation Nepal, Manoj was associated with HELVETAS Nepal where he worked closely with various Palikas in Eastern Region of Nepal to implement the Periodic Development Plan, Revenue improvement action plan and profile. Mr. Chaudhary completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies (Management) from Tribhuvan University. Outside of Karuna, you can find him engaging in social works and playing sports such as badminton and futsal.
Based in Morang, Ms. Sharma facilitates the monitoring and evaluation of “Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program (DPRP)” in Morang/Sunsari district. Prior to joining Karuna Foundation Nepal, Ms. Sharma was associated with Jeevan Bikas Samaj as a Project Director and additionally, was also a part time lecturer at “Birat Health College” facilitating the public health undergraduates. Regarding her credentials, she has completed her Masters degree in Public Health from B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, Nepal. Apart from this, she is passionate about research works, playing basketball & table-tennis and getting to interact with new people, places and culture.
Based in Panchthar District, Mausam Shrestha leads Morang District for the implementation of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. His responsibility is to implement program, coordinate with stakeholders, monitor overall program, mobilize human resources, plan strategically and reporting of program activities. Prior to joining Karuna, Mr. Mausam was associated with NEPHA, as District Coordinator, where he worked closely with various governmental and non-governmental line agencies in Ramechhap district to implement Safe Motherhood Program. She provides technical support to Palikas and other necessary supports to the team by helping in development of plan, reporting and documentation, collect and compile periodic reports and timely submission of reports to Province Office. Prior joining Karuna Foundation Nepal, she was associated with Aasaman Nepal where she worked closely with District Health Office, hospital and health posts of Dolpa District to implement the Integrated Management of the Acute Malnutrition Program. Talking about her academic background, she had completed Bachelor of Nursing from Purbanchal University and Proficiency Certificate Level in Nursing from Tribhuvan University. Beside professional life, in her spare time, she likes to read novels and gardening. Besides, she is also passionate about travelling to new places.
Shyam Kishor Sah
Based in Itahari, Shyam kishor Sah leads the Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. In his capacity, he oversees the overall performance of the program, take the key responsibilities like leadership and management of CBR works, and prepare periodic work plan, implementation, monitoring and supervision of CBRF in palika, coordination and communication for rehabilitation, assistive devices and referral. Prior to joining Karuna, Shyam was associated with Humanity & Inclusion (HI) Nepal where he worked as Rehabilitation Physiotherapist closely with Dhading District Hospital, health institutions in community and DPOs in Nepal to implement Health System strengthening program. Mr. Sah completed a Certificate Level in Physiotherapy and Bachelors in Physiotherapy from the Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) Dhulikhel Nepal and CPT from Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel Medical institute. Based in Itahari, Deepika carries out prevention program at Barakshetra. In her capacity, she plans, implements, coordinates, monitors and documents the program activities. Prior to joining Karuna, Deepika was associated with Primary Health Care Revitalization Division, DoHS where she worked with various NGOs and INGOs for preventing NCDs and mental health. Ms. Kattel has completed a Bachelor degree in Public Health from Nobel College, Sinamangal. Outside of Karuna, she enjoys travelling to new places and reading novels.
Based in Itahari, Bharati is working as a CBR-Officer under Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. Talking about her responsibility, she ensures the quality of rehabilitation services for person with Disability in community and guide the community Facilitator in providing the basic rehabilitation techniques for beneficiaries. Prior to joining Karuna, Bharati was associated with CBR Biratnagar , Nepal where she worked closely in rehabilitation for children and person with disability in province no.1 and had also worked as a Physiotherapist in Nobel Medical college and Teaching Hospital, Biratnagar, Nepal. She has completed her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore India. Sagun Gurung is a Program Officer at Karuna Foundation Nepal (KFN), based in Itahari and is responsible to lead Sunsari/Morang-district team. Her former work experience in safe motherhood has shown her a wider scope of prevention in pregnancy. Currently, her focus is on the prevention of disability under DPRP (Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program). Since five years, Sagun has been applying her clinical and theoretical knowledge to Public Health. She pursued her BSc. Nursing from RGUHS, India, and MSc. in International Health Policy from LSE, University of London (Chevening scholar 2018). Talking about his academic background, he has completed Health Assistant from Green Tara College of Health Science and BPH from Yeti Health Science Academy. Outside of Karuna, Nepal loves reading books and travelling new places.

Mr. Dhakal is post graduated in Financial Management from Tribhuban University with sufficient knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and management skills in various development organizations. He has more than 6 years of professional experience in NGOs, private sector and Audit Company. Bijay Laxmi Gopali is responsible to oversee disability prevention and rehabilitation program at Dhankuta. Her main roles include planning, implementation, monitoring and guide CBRF and capacitate them for smooth running of the program. Prior to joining Karuna, Bijay was associated with Fishtail Hospital and Research Centre, Pokhara where she worked closely with patients as a Clinical Physiotherapist. Talking about her academic background, she completed Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University, India and Masters in Rehabilitation Science from Dhaka University. She is self-driven with learning attitude and enjoys updating new and innovative things.
Based in Dhankuta, Dipendra Shrestha leads the monitoring and evaluation of Disability, Prevention and Rehabilitation Program (DPRP). In his capacity, he oversees the overall performance of the program, check the compliance and provides strategic direction to the thematic district officers. Prior to joining Karuna, Shrestha was associated with different NGOs in eastern region to implement socio-economic development programs/projects. Mr. Shrestha completed a Master’s in sociology from the Tribhuvan University (Post Graduate Campus, Biratnagar).

Genuine, Motivated and Career Orientated, with the motto of serving people, Chudamani Dulal (Ashish) has recently joined Karuna Foundation Nepal. His main roles and responsibilities includes overview of finance and administration section of Panchthar District. Prior to joining Karuna Foundation Nepal, he has gained invaluable experience in different organizations like HURENDEC Nepal (USAID funded Sabal Project and World Vision Intl funded MCHN Project), Beautiful Coffee Nepal (CVCDP project funded by European Union). He is competent in using accounting software (FAMAS and IPAS) and got experienced on supply chain management system and administrative functions. He has completed his Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS) from Shanker Dev Campus, Kathmandu. Apart from academic career, he loves to engage in social services, travelling and watching movies.
Based in Panchthar, Narendra Chand leads the monitoring and evaluation of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. In his capacity, he oversees the overall performance of the program, check the compliance and provides support to the thematic officers and the management team. Prior to joining Karuna, Narendra was associated with HERD Nepal where he worked closely with various public health institutions in western Nepal to implement Tuberculosis program. Mr. Chand completed a Bachelor in Public Health from Purbanchal University and currently studying Master in Sociology in Tri-chandra campus. Outside of Karuna, you can find him exploring new places and adventurous.
Ishwor Adhikari aspires to introduce himself as evidence based practitioner and his motto is serving people. Based in Panchthar district, Ishwor works as CBR officer. His main responsibilities includes overseeing disability prevention and rehabilitation program and guide the CBRF in Panchthar District. He monitors all the CBRF and provides onsite coaching to them in planning, capacitate them for implementation. He has recently completed his Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from Kathmandu University School of Medical Science, Dhulikhel, Nepal. Apart from academic, he enjoys playing football and volleyball. He loves photography and exploring new Places too.
Based on Sunsari, Sujan Thapa Magar works as a support staff. He is from Madesha, Sunsari. He has completed his +2 level in management.
Based in Duhabi, Prabin Karki assists Project Coordinator in the implementation and operation of “Scaling up Max WASH in Nepal-Integrated WASH and Health Intervention” project as Associate Officer-Program. He involves in planning, implementation, monitoring, facilitation and reporting of the program. Prior to joining Karuna, Prabin was associated with Global Action Nepal as M & E Officer, where he was engaged in mainstreaming the performance of the project, checking the compliance, collecting and analyzing the District data in strengthening Education and Health status of schools girls of Lamjung District. Mr. Karki completed his Bachelors in Public Health (BPH) from Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University.

Based in Duhabi, Sunsari, Aamod Kumar Chaudhary looks after the administration and financial aspect of Sunsari. In his capacity, he oversees financial transactions and all administrative related tasks. Mr. Chaudhary have completed his Bachelor’s degree in management from Sunsari Multiple Campus-Inaruwa. Outside of Karuna, he is interested in singing, playing games and travelling to new places.

Based in Duhabi, Sunsari, Sitaram Sah works as an Assistant Officer-Program. He oversees WASH and holistic development Project in Sunsari. During his tenure in Karuna, he was engaged in many projects-share & care, disability prevention and Rehabilitation Program. To talk about his academic qualifications, he has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Health Education. Except WASH, he has sound knowledge on CBR also.
Based in Duhabi (Sunsari), Bheshraj works as an Assistant-Officer for Holistic WASH project in Karuna Foundation Nepal (KFN). In his capacity, he oversees all ward level activities under his thematic area. Prior to joining KFN, Mr. Pokhrel was engaged and worked in the area of Woman and Child Rights and Development in Sunsari District since 19 years through various organizations.
Based in Duhabi, Sunsari, Bhishma Khanal leads the program implementation for result based output of WASH and Holistic Development Project. His main responsibilities include ensuring the overall accomplishment of targeted activities, provide necessary recommendations, monitoring and supervision of the activities of the team. Previously, he was associated with Letang Small Town Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project at Morang where he closely worked with Water User and Sanitation Committee and Water Supply and Sanitation Division Office, Morang as Team Leader/ Community Development Officer. His academic background is a Masters of Science in Population and Rural Development (M.Sc PRD) from Purbanchal University, Biratnagar. Apart from community engagement, he is interested in listening music, reading books (especially motivational and personal development), and traveling new places.

Based in Bhojpur, Soniya Pun leads the Community Based Rehabilitation sector of Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. In her capacity, she orients on disability prevention and rehabilitation program, coordinates with palikas and provides rehabilitation support to the persons with disabilities. Prior to joining Karuna, Soniya was associated with Health at Home organization where she worked closely with physiotherapists, patients with different conditions in their home setting as well as other medical team members. Ms. Pun completed her Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from the Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS), Dhulikhel. Outside of Karuna, you can find her enjoying trekking, trying new dishes and enjoying whatever she does.
Based in Bhojpur, Muna Duwadi works as an Officer-Monitoring and Evaluation in Karuna Foundation Nepal. In her capacity, she oversees the monitoring and evaluation of the Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program, check the compliance and provides support to the thematic officers and the management team. Prior to joining Karuna, Muna was associated with Suaahara program where she worked closely for data management and documentation activities associated with health and nutrition program. Talking about her academic qualification, Ms. Muna completed her Bachelors in Public Health from Pokhara University and currently pursuing her Masters in Population Studies from Prithvi Narayan Campus. In her leisure time, you can find her watching reality shows and reading novels.
Based in Bhojpur, Rajendra Parajuli is responsible to look after admin/finance department and lead the team of Bhojpur District. Prior to joining Karuna Foundation Nepal, he was associated with various organizations like Tuki Association, Sunkoshi and Save the Children under various departments like program, admin/finance and operational.. He has long experience in development section. Talking about his academic qualification, he has completed his graduation in Business Studies. Besides Karuna Foundation Nepal, he enjoys travelling new places, listening to music and social work.

Based in Sankhuwasabha, Suraj Kumar Sardar leads the monitoring and evaluation works of Sankhuwasabha District under Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation program. In his capacity, he oversees the overall performance of the program in District level, support and coordinate with local governments and other stakeholders for effective implementation of program within district and also support all team members to implement the program effectively as a team leader. Prior to joining Karuna, Suraj was associated with Ministry of social development, province 1, where he worked as section officer (province development volunteer) and worked closely with different district health offices and other government institutions especially health institutions and managed all the work records of volunteers as appointed by MOSD and also supported in different campaigns and programs conducted by MOSD. Mr. Sardar completed a Bachelor’s in Public Health from Purbanchal University. Outside of Karuna, you can find him simple, friendly and kind.
Based in Sankhuwasabha, Sudeep B.C leads the Community Based Rehabilitation program at Sankhuwasabha district. Mr. B.C has proven knowledge on General Medicine and Physiotherapeutic interventions. And has equipped knowledge on Electrotherapeutic Modalities and assistive devices as well as analytical and management abilities. Mr. B.C completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Karnataka, India and PCL in General Medicine from CTEVT, Nepal. Talking about his professional experience, Mr. B.C has more than one year of experience as Health Assistance in hospital and over one year experience in home care as a Physiotherapist. Based in Sankhuwasabha, Manoj Paudel work on Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. In his capacity, he oversees the overall implementation and performance of the program in district, support to local governments and other stakeholders for effective implementation of program within district. Prior to joining Karuna, Manoj was associated closely with private health institutions to implement family planning and safe abortion program under the Women’s Health Project in Tanahun District.
